Lawmakers pleased with strides made to combat Colorado wildfires
With wildfire season approaching, lawmakers at the Capitol say proposals introduced this session and making their way through the legislature in these final weeks will hopefully better aid residents and the firefighters on the front lines protecting property.

of factors that impact forest health, including poor stand
conditions, long-term drought and warmer temperatures. In
addition, many of our mountain forests have become unhealthy
and overly dense, setting the stage for future insect and disease
outbreaks, potentially devastating wildfires and the dangerous
